"Falling Behind In The Game" was originally written and recorded for Stipplicon's 2001 album "The Late Great Truth", which takes its title from the last stanza of this song. Like "Stamp Your Name On It', which appeared on the same record, this version has been re-imagined and re-recorded for the new decade...
lyrics
FALLING BEHIND IN THE GAME
You've been in my nightmares
what do you know
It wasn't that easy
watching you go
And mostly I'm fighting
invisible things
The enemy general
pulling the enemy strings
I'm just a house
I'm just a cow
swirling around
in this tornado
What's a tornado
And what do you do
when you're not in love
you're not in luck
you're not in style
you're not in time
What do you do
Don't feel ashamed
if you're falling behind in the game
It's just chess
it's just poker
it's just twister
I'm always surrounded
by beautiful things
sometimes I get jealous
and I wanna just cave 'em all in
And I try not to worry
too much of the time
watching these assholes
trying to cut me in line
'cause they're just a dot
right next to a dot
in front of a dot
times ten times infinity
What's an infinity
And what do you do
when you're not in love
you're not in luck
you're not in style
you're not in time
What do you do
Don't feel ashamed
if you're falling behind in the game
It's just chess
it's just poker
it's just twister
My late great youth
watch over me
The late great truth
wash over me

It may not be a full-fledged LP, but All Delighted People is probably my favourite of Sufjan's works. Without an overaching album theme to tie the songs together, it felt like Sufjan was free to experiment on each track and give them their own unique sound. And because of that (and Sufjan's talent), every track on there is a standout track. Angkasawan
